Beth is a social performance consultant with 10+ years experience across Latin America, Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East. She combines contextual pragmatism with professional rigour to offer effective and actionable strategic advice and robust deliverables under tight timelines and according to budget. 

Beth has worked in a variety of sectors including mining, hydroelectric, wind, solar, and transportation, and is an expert in writing and assessing international social performance standards (i.e., International Finance Corporation [IFC] Performance Standards, World Bank Environmental and Social Standards).

Beth is a certified social auditor for the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA) and Social Accountability International (SA8000) standards and is a member of the IRMA  Expert Panel on Land Acquisition and Resettlement. 

Beth holds a PhD in International Development and Environmental Studies from the University of Toronto, and is fluent in English and Spanish; with intermediate Portuguese.
